Meet E.T. Joseph

Estelle Joseph, known to readers by her pen name E.T. Joseph, writes heartwarming mysteries that blend humor, curiosity, and a touch of nostalgia. A lifelong dreamer with a quirky streak, she began writing in 2004 after a spark of inspiration from a child’s light-up sneakers—a moment that led to her first published book, Larry Light Up Sneakers (2004).

She later penned a whimsical sequel, Larry Visits Shoe Land. Though never published, the final copy remains tucked away on her laptop, a cherished piece of her writing journey that remains close to her heart.

Influenced by beloved storytellers like Agatha Christie and J.K. Rowling, Estelle’s work captures the joy of discovery and the comfort of imagination. Her stories often reflect her fascination with everyday relics and the quiet mysteries hidden in ordinary lives—themes she explores deeply in The Spirit in the Yarmulke.

Before turning to writing full time, Estelle worked as a legal assistant and realtor, experiences that sharpened her eye for detail and human character.

When she’s not writing, Estelle enjoys thrift store browsing, collecting Harry Potter memorabilia, solving cryptograms—those little puzzles that challenge the mind and sharpen the “little gray cells”—and binge-watching classic series.

Her goal is simple yet profound: to make readers smile, dream, and look toward a brighter future.

At 93, she begins an exciting new chapter.
